My New Blog

Since my last posting, I guess I am not a good blogger. But the reason is, we are always so busy with real estate listings and sales that I don't have time to write about how busy I am!

I look out today and the roads are covered with snow, it is cold too. But here I am listing new properties, writing contracts and hoping for a quiet Holiday.

Everyone writes about the slow economy, yes things have slowed but are steady in our market (at least for us). There is mortgage money out there and good rates, but you do need to develop or maintain good credit to buy a home.

It is cold outside with snow on the ground but don't let that slow down your real estate buying! Now is a great time for winter indoor projects. There are many very affordable "fixer upper" properties on the market. I see more and more demand for rental units in the Erie area.

There are also many well priced single family homes in "move in" condition. Mortgage rates are still very attractive too! 

If you are planning to sell, now is the time to tweak your interior and be ready for the early spring market.  

Real estate is alive and well in Northwest PA! I look forward to another great year of listings and sales in 2008.

The market is still steady and stable although the news media seems in "scare mode". It is time to realize NW Pennsylvania real estate is alive and prosperous! So is it a good time to sell? Depends on your reasons and the property. It is a good time to buy? Yes! some sellers get motivated just before winter sets in. "You can't win if you don't play"
